Some factors involved in on-site Search Engine Optimization that you need to know:
Changing titles, descriptions, keywords, content on site, html mark up of the sites such as H1, H2, H3 tags, meta tagging of images, and keyword interlinking of the pages.
Why changing the title of a page is important for SEO
Title tag modification is one of the most important aspects of on-site SEO. Search engines place a large weight on the title tag, and thus one should always included targeted keyword phrases in the title tag. The caveat is that the Title Tag is the text which is displayed in the SERP (Search Engine Results Page) as the link upon which a searcher clicks on; therefore the Title Tag should be written with user enticement in mind, a practice which Cardinal Web Solutions adheres to. The title tag is displayed at the top of the browser window at all times, and is often used by a user to determine what page they are on while browsing the internet.
Why changing the META description of a page is important for SEO
Modifying the META description with SEO copy is an important aspect of on-site SEO because the search engines take in to account what a site writes about itself in the META description in their ranking algorithms. Similar to the Title tag, the META description is displayed in the SERP below the title tag, and also should be written with user enticement in mind. Cardinal Web Solutions will write the META description with the targeted keywords and keyphrases included in the correct ratios, while maintaining user-friendly copy writing. The META description is displayed to the searcher/web surfer only during the search process, and it is not visible while on the website.

Why modifying the content of a site is important for SEO
The content of a site is one of the biggest factors the Search Engines use when calculating on-site ranking factors. Naturally written copy writing, inclusive of all keywords and keyphrases is very important to a successful SEO campaign. Cardinal Web Solutions will modify the content of the sites to provide users with useful and enticing information while maintaining the correct ratios of targeted keywords and keyphrases necessary to achieving high rankings. Within this content targeted keywords and keyphrases will be either bolded, underlined, or italicized (sometimes in combination) to a specific ratio. The highlighting of certain words is a factor which the search engines take in to consideration and is a higher-level SEO practice implemented by Cardinal Web Solutions in order to maximize the on-site SEO potential. Area attractions and locations, as well as commonly searched for hotel services will be included within the content to attract visitors searching for long-tail keyword phrases.
Why tagging text with H1, H2, H3 tags is important for SEO
"H" tagging of text, otherwise known as heading tags is an important on-site SEO practice as headings signal the overall theme of the web page to the search engines. The H tags will include the most important targeted keywords and keyphrases, as headings on web pages are the largest and most important (from a search engine's point of view) text on a website. The H1 tag typically appears at the top of the web page and includes the most important keyword or keyphrase, while the H2, H3-H6 tags appear in descending order on the web page. The search engine's view of H tags can be seen in a Google Cache of a website, where H tagged text appears larger than the other text on the page.
Why ALT and Title tagging images on a page is important for SEO
The proper ALT and Title tagging of on-site images is an important aspect of on-site SEO due to the fact that search engines include the text of these when calculating their ranking algorithms. The ALT attribute was originally used in web browsers for the visually impaired to provide a description of the image. It is therefore important to include the targeted keywords while maintaining functionality for visually impaired visitors. An example of a proper ALT attribute on an image would be "Atlanta Airport Hotel Exterior" for a picture of a hotel by the Atlanta airport. Additionally, with the growing use of image search, it is important to ALT tag all images on a site to gain additional visitors for people using image searches. The Title tagging of images is less important for SEO and provides marginal benefit, but is important as typically this text appears when a visitor "mouses over" an image. Alt tags are only visible In Internet Explorer 7 and under browsers.
Why keyword interlinking between pages is important for SEO
Keyword interlinking using the correct anchor text is one of the most important aspects of on-site SEO, as well as off-site SEO. The text used for the link is seen to the search engines as an indicator of what the linked to page is about. For example, on a website for an Atlanta airport hotel, links pointing to the home page from the other pages on the site should be written as "Atlanta Airport Hotel" if that phrase has been determined as a targeted keyword phrase for SEO purposes. Similarly, on websites linking to the hotel website, the text of the links should be displayed as the top keywords and keyword phrases targeted by that hotel.
Why link building is important for SEO
Link building is the single most important factor in a successful SEO campaign. The amount and quality of links pointing to a site is the only way for a search engine such as Google to determine the difference in importance of two otherwise identical sites. With everyone on the internet claiming to be the biggest and the best, link building is the only way to differentiate a site from the rest of the pack. Cardinal Web Solutions will be implementing a link building campaign using only ethical, white-hat SEO techniques. CWS will NOT be putting links on link farms or buying links from sites. These two practices can and will get a website penalized and/or even blacklisted from the SERPs. What CWS will be doing is obtaining links from relevant, industry sites, strategic partnerships, as well as from accredited and respected directories. CWS will also be obtaining links through Article Marketing as well as traditional Press Releases. Blog posting will also be used to drive traffic and to the websites.
Links from authoritative websites, or sites with a high PageRank are essential to any link building campaign. CWS will be building links to my vanity domains, therefore increasing the value of my web assets, these sites in turn will be forwarded using a 301 redirect to transfer all of the PageRank and link value to the hotel website. This ensures that all of the SEO work done to my sites will not be squandered if the hotel chain decides to change the link of my hotel site through some sort of web update or global site redesign/restructuring.
